Engagement FAQs
Every question we get asked, answered honestly.
Pricing, scoping, ownership and everything else that comes up before someone books a call. If it isn't here, ask us directly.
Questions
What people ask before they start.
Because a number without a scope is a guess, and guesses cost both of us money. Two projects that sound identical in a sentence can differ tenfold in architecture, integration and risk. Every figure we give is written for the specific job, in full and in advance, and you see it before you commit to anything.
Never off a single conversation. We take the time to understand what is actually being asked for, including the parts nobody mentions in the first meeting, and the proposal is written against that. It takes longer than a same day estimate. It is also the reason the number does not move later.
From a single high stakes product surface to a multi quarter platform. What matters more than size is that there is a real problem, a real budget, and someone able to make decisions.
No. Agencies sell hours and staff projects from a bench. We take ownership of an outcome, with the same senior team from strategy through to launch.
Against the system, not the screens. Integrations, the data model, compliance requirements and how many workflows the product has to hold are what move the number, far more than how many pages it has. We work that out during scoping and price the outcome, not hours logged against a rate card.
Fixed, against the scope in the proposal. Time and materials shifts the risk of an unclear spec onto you, and we would rather carry that risk ourselves by scoping properly first. If the work genuinely changes shape once we are inside it, that goes through a change order, not a quietly rising invoice.
As long as doing it properly takes, which we tell you in the proposal before you commit, along with the milestones on the way. We would rather lose the work than promise a date we would have to cut corners to hit.
The architecture and delivery plan for your system, worked out and written down before any code is touched (see "How we work" above for what it covers). It is part of the engagement, not a separate purchase, and it is why our work survives growth and integration instead of being rewritten in year two.
We have shipped in fintech, healthcare, ecommerce, logistics and SaaS. Regulated and operationally complex domains are where end to end ownership pays off most, because that is where the cost of getting the architecture wrong actually lands.
Entirely. Code, infrastructure, accounts and documentation are yours, handed over properly at launch.
Most clients keep us on as their product partner: roadmap, iteration, QA and support. It is an option, never a condition.
Yes. We often lead architecture and design while an in house team builds, or join an existing build to get it over the line.
Tell us what you are trying to build.
Book a 30 minute call. We will ask what you need, tell you honestly whether we are the right team for it, and follow up with a written proposal if we are. No pitch.
